'Ts the season in Houston for tummy tucks, facelifts and breast implants. Dr. Rob Kratschmer is a plastic surgeon at Methodist Hospital, he says both women and men are flooding his office to get ready for swimsuit season.
“In the winter time, we have less moving around, less swelling that you'll see, so you won't be so discourage,” Kratschmer tells KTRH News. “Plus, you're able to hide what you have done.”
Kratschmer says because cosmetic surgery is so lucrative, be sure to check your doctor's credentials.
“Ask the doctor if you had to do this procedure in a hospital can they get the privileges to do it,” he says. “If they say no they cannot get it, I would probably walk away because if the hospital doesn't recognize their credentials, you probably shouldn't either.”
According to the latest statistics released by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons breast augmentation is the most popular procedure this time of year. Surgeons also recommend body contouring and facial procedures.
