But that debate won't happen here in Texas
Talk about political correctness run amok. Politicians in states like Washington are working on bills that would require gender neutral language to be used in all official documents.

What do we mean by gender neutral language? It goes beyond using ‘police officer’ as opposed to ‘policeman.’ Some of the new language would include the term ‘college freshmen’ being changed to ‘first-year students.’
Texas gender expert Judy Hoberman tells KTRH this is going too far.
“While changing certain words may show a certain level of respect, some are just grasping at straws,” Hoberman explained.
She thinks some of these lawmakers have taken the concept too far.
“Then you have to go back and ask if we change the name of some out best movies like ‘Goodfellas’ and ‘An Officer and a Gentlemen’,” Hoberman said.
Hoberman says she can't believe politicians are wasting time on this.
“Instead of spending time and money re-writing language, what about things like unemployment or feeding your family,” Hoberman asked.
Hoberman says women aren't asking for these changes that are being talked about in some states.
