Teen victimized in a wooded area in northwest Harris County
A 16-year-old girl was dragged into a wooded area, sexually assaulted and badly beaten before she walked one mile to a northwest Harris County movie theater to ask for help, deputies said.

The teen flagged down moviegoers at the theater on Spring Cypress Road and the North Freeway around 11 p.m. Tuesday. She was badly beaten and only partially clothed.
Investigators told Local 2 that the girl was assaulted by an unknown attacker in the wooded area on Spring Cypress Road.
The victim's injuries were so severe, she had to be airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital for treatment. She was hospitalized in stable condition.
Investigators were looking at surveillance cameras at the movie theater to see if they can help shed light on the case.
