UHPD: Suspect remains at large
University of Houston police put out a warning Wednesday after a woman was assaulted in a bathroom.
University police said the attack happened Agnes Arnold Hall shortly after 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
The victim said she was washing her hands in the second-floor bathroom when she noticed a man behind her. She screamed and he came at her, covering her mouth with his open hands, detectives said.
She struggled with the suspect and managed to kick him. He ran from the bathroom.
The woman called police, but they were unable to find the man.
Police said the attacker was described as a dark-skinned Middle Eastern man in his early 20s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 140 to 150 pounds with a neatly-trimmed beard. He was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
