Scores of volunteers fixing up home.
It's a story KTRH News has been telling you about all week, hundreds of Houstonians are pulling together to help World War II veteran Elbert Wood, whose home was vandalized by teenagers.
KTRH talk show host Michael Berry this week helped raise over $50,000, now scores of businesses and volunteers are working to repair Wood's home.
"There were probably 100-150 people working Thursday, including active-duty Marines, construction companies, caterers, all the food has been catered there," says Berry. "It's just an amazing outpouring of support."

"We're hoping to have it done within seven days, but realistically it could take up to two weeks," says Berry. "But the beauty of this is its all volunteer time; nobody will make a penny from this. It's a labor of love."
