Can't participate in low income health services program
Planned Parenthood has lost a court fight in Texas over their participation in a new state program.
A judge Friday denied a Planned Parenthood request to be allowed to offer health services to low income women in the state under a new program. Texas leaders have pushed to enforce a law that would keep Planned Parenthood out of such a program due to its work involving abortions.
It's unknown if Planned Parenthood will appeal the ruling. Texas is one of several states in the country taking similar steps to try and keep the agency out of state health programs due to the abortion issue.
