The big trend in 2013 will be higher fares and fees
There's one big air travel trend we expect in 2013 and you're not going to like it. Everything will cost more.
Fares, bag fees, fuel charges.
"Yeah, air fares are going to go up. Baggage fees are probably going to go up."
Tom Parsons at bestfares.com says most things will cost more -- but it's not all bad news. He says Houston will have a great bargain to the ancient and beautiful city of Istanbul.
"Istanbul out of Houston and it'll be non-stop service into Istanbul -- which is a great destination; I had four or five couples go there this year and just love the Dickens out of the city."
Parsons says round trip to Istanbul from Houston in April: $609. He says the same ticket to Dubai will be $709.
