Man rams security guard at Woodlands Mall

A sheriff's deputy opened fire on a man who rammed a security guard in a mall parking lot, detectives said.

Montgomery County sheriff's deputies said the incident happened at The Woodlands Mall about noon on Wednesday.

Detectives said Taud Damonn Washington, 41, tried to use a stolen credit card at several stores, but it was refused at all of them. He finally gave up and went to his car, but mall security and deputies were already following him.

Investigators used their cars to box Washington into a parking spot. A deputy went over to Washington's car and Washington refused to open his door, investigators said. Washington then backed the car into a mall security vehicle, deputies said.
