Houston Texans will be the No. 3 seed in the AFC playoffs following loss

The Texans' chances of earning the AFC's top seed went down the drain with Sunday's 28-16 loss to the Colts. Houston is now 0-11 all time in Indianapolis.

The Texans missed the opportunity of having home field advantage throughout the playoffs by losing three of their last four regular season games

The Denver Broncos will have the Number 1 seed and home field advantage throughout the playoffs and the New England Patriots will have the Number 2 seed with the Texans falling to the third seed.

So the Texans will host the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday in a Wild Card playoff matchup at Reliant Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 in the afternoon in a game you can watch on our television partner Local 2.

Despite their struggles over the last month, coach Gary Kubiak says he won’t let the team get down on themselves.

“We had a great opportunity the last two weeks but we won’t feel sorry for ourselves. We’re excited about the playoffs. We’ve got to turn around real quick and get ready to go,” Kubiak said.

And quarterback Matt Schaub, who threw a pair of interceptions in yesterday’s loss, says you can’t do anything about the past, so it’s useless to bring it up now.

“All we can control is how we move forward. It’s a clean slate. We have to go and approach things going forward and that’s what we’re going to do as a football team,” Schaub explained.

The game against the Bengals on Saturday is a rematch of last year’s playoff game at reliant Stadium; a game that the Texans won by a final of 31-10.

The team tells KTRH that ticket information for Saturday’s game will come out tomorrow.
