Promoted posthumously to Sergeant
Funeral services were held Saturday for the first Bellaire cop to be shot and killed in the line of duty.
A bystander was also killed in the shooting in the parking lot of the Maaco Body Shop. The owner of the body shop, Terry Taylor was killed. Corporal Jimmie Norman was shot following a police chase on Christmas Eve.

Authorities say Norman is being promoted to Sergeant posthumously, something that had been planned for the first of the year. Services for Norman were held at First Baptist Church in Houston.
