Police said alcohol was not involved
According to officials, 18 year old Adrian Hernandez let his 19-year-old brother, Ryan drive a car he got for Christmas when they got into a fatal accident.

His brother lost control of the car on F.M. 1485 near Loop 494 and veered into oncoming traffic. Another vehicle hit the car and Adrian who was a passenger died instantly. His brother suffered head and internal injuries. He is listed in critical condition and the driver of the other vehicle is in stable condition.
State Troopers said alcohol was not a factor. A combination of speed as well as slick roads may have caused the collision.
