Texas Average is up 4˘
The statewide average increased 4¢ to $3.07 this week. AAA Texas reports gas prices will most likely be impacted by whatever decision Congress makes on the fiscal cliff. If congress fails to act on averting the fiscal cliff gas prices will likely drop along with everything else. But if a deal is struck prices will go up in the wake of the positive news.
In Houston, the average price for gas is up 4¢ over last week bringing the city average to $3.06. Texas is not fairing too bad compared to the rest of the nation. The national average for a gallon of regular gas is now $3.26.
