Hurt during 2-alarm fire
A two-alarm fire Thursday night gutted a building in an apartment complex on Wirt Road. One firefighter and one resident were hurt in the blaze.
The fire at the Cancun Apartments broke out around 4:30AM Thursday. One of the responding firefighters fell through a second story floor and hurt his back. He was taken to the hospital and is now recovering.
HFD says four apartments were heavily damaged in the fire and four units were completely destroyed. HFD has not released any information on the injured resident.
