Lots of others things may cost more, too

You may pay dollars more for milk in the New Year. Dairy is just one area where big price jumps may be in store.

Wanna pay a lot more for milk? No? Chris Galen at the National Milk Producers Federation says you have Congress to thank for not passing a new farm bill.

"It's unfortunate that we've reached this point; where we have to see much, much higher dairy prices, both for farmers and also potentially for consumers."

Milk prices could double in 2013. Lots of other prices may jump too. Laura Heller of Dealnews says T-Mobile will remove the subsidy from smart phones and that could become a trend.

"Just like when airlines raise rates it depends on if everybody else follows suit."

Without subsidies, many smart phones cost $400 or more.
