Average price $3.04 for regular across the state
It is 'down', but not necessarily 'low'. Triple-A reports the statewide average price of regular gas in Texas slipped a penny lower overnight to three-dollars-four-cents a gallon. That's a six-cent drop since last Monday.
Here in Houston, the average price of regular is at an even three bucks a gallon after falling a penny compared to Sunday's average of almost three-dollars-four-cents.
