Three-year old dies in mobile home
A three-year old boy dies in a mobile home fire in Magnolia. Fire investigators say the child and his 10-year old cousin were alone in the home near Todd Road and FM 1488. The toddler’s mother was at a neighbor’s house.
Neighbors smelled smoke and rushed to save the children; further attempts were made by firefighters.
The child was found in a back bedroom. The 10-year old escaped, but still needed treatment for smoke inhalation. There’s no word on a cause for the fire, or if the mother will face charges.
