Gifts, puppies stolen from home
Thieves strike a south Houston home, taking all the family's Christmas gifts, even six newborn puppies from their mother.
For the second time in recent months, the Parker family arrived home to find their house ransacked, this time everything from the television to expensive Christmas gifts were gone.
Starr Parker says the Grinch or Grinches even took their six pit bull puppies -- valued at about $200 each.
"Those were my youngest son's dogs, he loves them to death," Parker tells KTRH News. "That's what made him break down crying, was the dogs."
The puppies' mother was in the backyard at the time.
"She's just crying, for like two days now," says Parker. "She just whines and lies around."
Parker says the thieves spoiled Christmas for her five children, taking a new Xbox, iPod Touch and video games all hidden her bedroom.
"They went into the closet, they were by the safe in our closet," she says. "They had taken everything; they even tried to take the safe out."
Starr says the stuff can be replaced, but she's keeping an ear out for anyone who may have, or just bought pit bull puppies.
