Catches crooks breaking into neighbor's home.

Reminiscent of the Joe Horn case, a Baytown man apprehends two would-be robbers breaking into his neighbor's home.

This anonymous hero caught the alleged crooks after seeing them scale his neighbor's wall.  He got his gun, a pair of handcuffs and took action.

Houston attorney Chris Tritico says unlike Joe Horn five years ago, this guy didn't kill anyone.

"He did get a gun, he did apprehend these people, he never fired his weapon," Tritico tells KTRH News.  "He was more responsible in how he treated the situation."

Tritico says he acted within Texas law in protecting his neighbor's property.

But who is this neighborhood hero?  Baytown Police Lt. Eric Freed says he's just an upstanding citizen.

"He's a business owner, and at one point in life worked in the security field," Freed says.  "So he had some equipment available to him and some level of training."

Freed says the two suspects, 20-year-old Roger Boose and 18-year-old Brandon Flores, also may be responsible for other crimes in the area.
