Recent study suggests so but experts say no
If you believe a recent study, then you might think there is something to the notion that there is a war on men going on in society.
That study says that more women want to get married than men do. Leading some experts, like Suzanne Venker of FOX, to suggest that there's a war between the genders. During an appearance on FOX 26 last night, Matt Patrick said that isn't true.
“I think women today are looking for a real man, and what has happened is as women have really found themselves, men have stepped back and have gotten wussified,” Patrick said.
Patrick said the suggestion that there is a war on men is ridiculous.
“Women as they’ve gotten a little bit older and realize that this feminist thing isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, want some real men. The problem is that men don’t know what to do anymore. We don’t know if we’re supposed to open the car doe. We don’t know if we’re not supposed to open the car door,” he explained.
Andrea Odom Campbell of Just a Busy Mom agreed with Patrick.
“I think women are nurturers and doers by nature. A lot of them want to be doted on and taken care of,” she told FOX 26.
Campbell says there should be no doubting what women want from their men.
“No matter how feminist we are, no matter how many bras we burn, no matter how independent we are, at the end of the day we still want to be treated like a lady,” Campbell explained.
So when it's all said and done, guys take the advice of Mr. Matt Patrick.
“Women don’t want wussified men!”
