After 6 days, Bush is expected to be released within 72 Hours
President George H. W. Bush, 88, is currently hospitalized at Methodist Hospital. According to a spokesman, Bush is undergoing his 6th day of treatment for complications related to bronchitis. A spokesperson says his condition is stabilized and he is expected to be released within 72 hours.
"He's over the bronchitis that he had, the doctor successfully treated that," Bush family spokesperson Jim McGrath tells KTRH News. "He still has the nagging cough, and his being 88, they're just going to hold him in the hospital another day or two to make sure he's good to go, but we expect him out by the weekend."
"It's not life threatening," McGrath insists. "I don't think they have any special requests. I know Barbara Bush would say 'don't worry about George.'"
