Get ready to spend big bucks to go to the big game
The Texans are now 9-1 after edging the Jacksonville Jaguars 43-37 in overtime on Sunday. That 9-1 record is tied for the best in the entire National Football League, and has some Houstonians already making plans to go to the Super Bowl in New Orleans in February.
However, there is one thing you need to consider before you book your trip. And that one thing, according to Michelle Weller of Travel Leaders is the cost.
“Even the Drury Inn is a $5,500 package,” Weller told KTRH. “They are requesting minimum stays. It’s quite pricey but people are still interested.

Weller says there are some packages that she has seen that are being sold for over $9,000.
So let’s say you don’t have that kind of cash sitting around. But you still want to go to the game. And you’re willing to drive to and from New Orleans on the same day. Kayla Ramsey of Midtown Tickets says that will still wind up being very expensive.
“Anywhere from $2500 to $2700 upstairs in the upper level,” Ramsey told KTRH.
Ramsey said that lower level seats could run you about $5000. And if you are looking for the best seats in the house, well, they’ll be going for about ten thousand dollars.
But Ramsey and Weller both told KTRH that Houstonians are not being scared off by the big price tag. Both say they are getting calls from fans that are willing to put their deposits down now, before the regular season even ends.
