Congressman sounds alarm on Hezbollah ties to Mexico
According to a report released late last week by Texas Congressman Mike McCaul, the top terror threat against the United States is closer than you think.

The threat is simply the ties that bind the Middle East terror group ‘Hezbollah’ to drug cartels just across the United States border in Mexico. In a hearing on Friday, McCaul says tensions between Israel and Iran could affect us at home.
“The retaliation will be certain and it will be swift. It will expand into this hemisphere,” McCaul said.

McCaul also says it’s a threat he has informed Obama Administration officials about, but hasn’t gotten any answers from them.
“A letter was sent on October the fifth and we have yet to receive any sort of response from the Administration,” McCaul explained.
McCaul has worked closely with former FBI agent Jim Conway, who told KTRH he's happy some people here are starting to take notice.
“I’m glad to see this issue is beginning to become front and center. It’s an issue that folks in law enforcement and the intelligence community have been concerned about for years,” Conway said.

Conway says the threat across the border is the number one overall terror threat that the United States faces.
“These are just out or back door. If something were to break out in the Middle East, this threat to our south could really pose a threat to the homeland, particularly to us in the Texas area,” Conway explained.
