Humble Thanksgiving Almost Canceled
It’s been a tradition for nearly ten years, the free Thanksgiving dinner in Humble. But, this year one of the usual caterers has been having some personal problems. The call went out for more volunteers, but organizers were unsure if the dinner would go on.
But, yesterday city leaders and volunteers held a meeting to discuss plans for the 2012 Thanksgiving free dinner.
City Manager Darrell Bosque says, “Well, we were unsure if we could pull it off, but we will. It will be little last minute, but we can do."
The special dinner will be held at the Humble Civic center from 11a.m. to 2p.m. on Thanksgiving. If you’d like to volunteer contact the city of Humble.
