Closing arguments schedule to start Monday
Jurors in the Jessica Tata murder trial may consider lesser charges against the former home daycare owner. Closing arguments are scheduled to start Monday.
The 24-year old Tata was charged with felony murder after four children died in a 2011 house fire. Tata reportedly left the children unattended and was out shopping when the fire started. Defense attorneys have battled the murder claims saying Tata never intended to injure the children.
After the fire, Tata fled to Nigeria, but was returned to the US by law enforcement a month later.
