The Astros introduce Tony DeFrancesco as their interim manager
Hours after announcing the departure of Brad Mills, Astros General Manager Jeff Luhnow named Tony DeFrancesco to lead the club through the remainder of the season. DeFrancesco has been managing the club's AAA affiliate in Oklahoma City.

Ty Van Burkleo will serve as interim hitting coach, and Dan Radison will fill in as first base coach, replacing Mike Barnett and Bobby Meacham, who were also fired.
Luhnow says the search for a full time replacement will begin immediately.
After last night's 12-4 loss to the Diamondbacks, the Astros are now 39-82 on the season, and on pace for the most losses in franchise history.
