Thousands attend funeral for murdered deputy
Law enforcement from across the state were among the 3,000 people attending the funeral of Brazos County Constable Brian Bachmann.
Services were moved to an arena on the Texas A&M campus to accommodate the crowd. Bachmann was killed while serving an eviction notice on 35-year old Thomas Caffall, who was later shot and killed by other officers.
A bystander was also killed in the shootout and three others were injured. Houston mother Barbara Holdsworth continues her recovery in the hospital. Two others were treated and released.
Bachmann, a married father of four, had been in law enforcement for nearly 20 years.
