Suspect Accused In Medicare And Medicaid Fraud Arrested.
A naturalized U.S. citizen from Nigeria is accused of defrauding Medicare and Medicaid out of more than 400-thousand-dollars.

Authorities say 54-year-old Abdul Waheed Alex Shittu has been charged in a 21-count indictment for the alleged fraud through his medical supply company near Houston.

The S and S Medical Supply company owner allegedly bought orders with forged physician signatures to submit claims for orthotic devices that were never delivered or not needed by Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries.

He was arrested yesterday on charges of conspiracy to commit healthcare fraud, healthcare fraud, wire fraud and aggravated identity theft.
