There's a new space race for the future of the space industry and the contestants are Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico. Naturally, Texas lawmakers favor the LoneStarState as the location for private contractors like Space X.
"The governor believes that having that competition not only makes each state better but it makes our nation as a whole better because we're all working that much harder to attract employers and create jobs."
Many believe launching from Brownsville is the future of space travel.
