Teens Cling to Tree for 3 Hours Waiting on Rescue.

Emergency personnel have rescued two fishermen who scrambled up a tree to avoid rising water near a Houston-area reservoir.

The Houston Fire Department says the 19-year-old men were located Monday night after using a cellphone to seek help. Rescue boats were used to reach the men, who were unharmed.

Capt. Ruy Lozano says the pair earlier Monday apparently decided to go fishing at the rain-swollen Addicks Reservoir. The Houston area has experienced flooding for several days following heavy rainfall linked to thunderstorms.

Lozano says the teens used a trail to reach a fishing spot, but then the water rose and the men were unable to find their way out.
