A Maintenance Man Has Been Killed in a Shipping Container Fire.
A worker is dead following a fire at a southeast Houston maintenance shop.
Crews arrived at the scene early this morning near Almeda Genoa Road and Telephone Road to find a shipping container fully engulfed.
Once firefighters beat back the flames, they checked the contents of the container and found the man's body. Arson investigators are working to determine the cause of the blaze, but foul play is not suspected.
The victim's name was not released. Friends said his first name was Pedro, he was in his 50s and from El Salvador.
