A Man is Facing Animal Cruelty Charges After His Two Pit Bulls Attacked a Pony.
A Dayton man is facing animal cruelty charges after officials say his two pit bulls savagely attacked a Shetland pony.

The incident occurred last night on County Road 676. Witnesses told police that Lachain Dever stood by while the dogs attacked the tethered pony's body, legs and throat. The pony was so badly injured that it had to be put down, and the dogs have been quarantined. The 26-year-old Dever was arrested after the incident, which remains under investigation by the Liberty County Sheriff's Office.
