HPD Investigate Morning shooting

Houston police are investigating an early morning shooting that has left three people shot. At one point the suspect exchanged gunfire with Houston police on the scene.


Police telling KTRH that three people were wounded in the apartment complex gunfire, including a security guard and two residents. Two were rushed to nearby hospital. The other remained at the scene. Their conditions were unknown.

Initial reports indicate the suspect sped away in a blue Chevrolet Blazer and led police on a chase along the Northwest Freeway. It also appears that he may have rammed a gold SUV during the chase and crashed his vehicle in the 13200 block of the Northwest Freeway. The accident  caused a chain reaction involving at least five vehicles.

We are also told he started firing at officers. We do know that officers returned fire and did shoot the suspect, at this time its unknown if he's still alive. We are also waiting to hear the conditions of the three victims.
KTRH’s Bernie Quintero live from the scene described it as hectic with apartment residents taking cover inside their homes.
