Tip Leads Investigators to Images
A longtime Houston neurologist at the VA Medical Center in the Texas Medical Center is being held in jailed on child pornography charges.
Dr. Robert Kolimas was arrested on Thursday after an employee at a computer repair shop found child pornography on his personal computers.
Police conducted a search on Wednesday and found more than 40 images of children from 8 months to 8 years old in sexually explicit positions. Investigators said some of the children were shown having intercourse.
A spokesman at VA Medical Center says that Kolimas has been placed on administrative leave. He was in Harris County Jail on $100,000 bond Thursday. His next court date is Friday.
