Pregnant Woman Found Passed Out in Car, Along With Her Child
A 20-year-old pregnant woman is arrested for driving drunk with her child in the car.
Houston Police found Stephanie Irene Santana passed out behind the wheel of her car in front of Dago's Tattoos along the North Freeway just before 3 a.m.
Police say Santana was turned away by employees after asking for either a tattoo or piercing. Employees feared she was too intoxicated.
Detectives said employees followed Santana into the parking lot after they overheard she left her one-year-old daughter out in the car by herself. They called police.
Officers found Santana passed out among the Beer bottles and Xanax pills were found in the car. He child was also in the car, but was not hurt.
Investigators said Santana failed a field sobriety test. Santana faces charges of driving while intoxicated, child endangerment and possession of a controlled substance.
Harris County court records show Santana was already on probation for theft charges at the time of her arrest.
