A Richmond Musician Has Been Charged With Sexual Assault of a Child.
A Richmond man has been charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child following an outcry made by a teenage girl Wednesday.

On Wednesday, May 23, 2012, Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office Detectives met with the 13-year-old girl and her mother at the mother’s home in Richmond. The girl told Detectives she was at the Zion Watchtower Baptist Church, 606 F.M. 359, in the Richmond area, when she met with the suspect, Rodney Marcus Grimsley, 42, in a room at the church between services Sunday, May 20th.

She said she wanted to inquire about guitar lessons from the suspect. The sexual assault then occurred at the church. The girl told her parents of the assault. Detectives arrested Grimsley early Thursday morning and he is in the Fort Bend County Jail with a bond of $175,000. He also faces 3 misdemeanor charges from the Fresno Police Department for Invalid Driver License, No Proof of Insurance and Failure to Appear.
