WEEKEND MURDER OVER CASH
What may have begun as an argument over money has ended in murder.
A man was ambushed and shot multiple times in his driveway in north Houston early Saturday morning, according to investigators.
51 year-old Darwin Roberson was killed when two men walked up the victim’s driveway around 1:30 a.m. with large caliber rifles and opened fire, according to police.
Roberson died at the scene after between 13 and 16 rounds were fired.
Police are looking into the possibility that the homicide was a result of an argument over money.
Roberson lived at his family’s house at Turner and Edgeworth and his sisters say that he worked as a mechanic his entire life.
Police are still seeking information from witnesses about the appearance of the suspects and the suspects’ vehicle.
