University of Texas Has Names a New Dean of The Texas School of Law.
The University of Texas has named Ward Farnsworth of Boston University as the new dean of the Texas school of law.
Farnsworth is the associate dean for academic affairs for the Boston University law school, where he has taught since 1997. Farnsworth is a graduate of Wesleyan University and earned his law degree from the University of Chicago.
He takes over the Texas job from interim dean Stefanie Lindquist. Former Texas law school dean Larry Sager resigned under pressure in December after faculty members complained about his use of law school foundation money. Farnsworth's appointment was announced Wednesday.
