Problems Found in Drug Cases Prompts Retesting.

Harris County District Attorney Pat Lykos is looking into evidence in hundreds of drug cases after questions are being raised about the analyst who conducted the tests.

The Texas Department of Public Safety contacted the DA's office after they discovered errors with the analysis conducted by one of its Houston Regional Laboratory forensic scientists. That scientist has since been suspended pending an investigation and has worked for the lab since 2006.

The agency retested evidence in a hundred cases and found two more problems.

Lykos said the investigation is ongoing to determine if the error were intentional or negligent.
