The San Antonio Mayor Will Give The Keynote at Democratic Convention
San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro will give the keynote address at the Texas Democratic Convention in June.
Party Chairman Boyd Richie made the announcement Monday, calling Castro a rising star in the Democratic Party both in Texas and nationally.
The 37-year-old Castro took office in 2009 and is the youngest mayor of a Top-50 American city. His brother Joaquin Castro is state legislator and is running for Congress. The Texas Democratic Convention is scheduled to take place from Jun 7-9 in Houston.
