Here's Randy's Weekly KTRH GardenLine Tip:

Weed Warrior Chronicles

If you're a longtime e-mail tip subscriber, or consider yourself well-versed in GardenLine advice, you might just consider tossing this week's issue aside — but here's why you shouldn't: It's a handy compilation of the weed-killing advice I've offered for years.

I put together these Weed Warrior Chronicles because I've been getting bombarded with weed questions, both in e-mail and on the radio show. I honestly can't remember ever getting so many on the subject in February. And, looking back, I'm surprised that I've never compiled all my weed wisdom in one article.

CrabgrassIf you want to help out a neighbor or friend, just forward this e-mail to them. Or, you could print specific topics and give copies to those who don't have Internet access. I'd like to solve all of our weed woes with this one e-mail blast.

GardenLine Appearance 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday
Ace Hardware of Champions (Near Gleannloch Farms), 9001 Spring-Cypress
This Saturday, it's "Mulch Madness" at Ace Hardware of Champions, across from Gleannloch Farms. As always, we will have plenty of goodies to give away, and reps will be on hand to show you all the products I talk about from Nitro-Phos and Bonide. Plus, I'll have plenty of copies of my new book, 1001 GardenLine Questions. And WE'LL HAVE MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF FREE MULCH!!

Here's the deal: During our 11 a.m.-1 p.m. visit, our friends from Living Earth Technology will provide several pallets of Houston Mulch for us to give away for free! Houston Mulch is the localized version of their shredded hardwood mulch. If you wear a Lemmonhead shirt to the event, you can take home two free bags. If you don't have a shirt, bring a copy of this e-mail to get your free bags.

Or, show a receipt for any Nitro Phos or Bonide product purchase ... or one for the purchase of my book ... and you can also take home two free bags of mulch.

The bottom line is, we are making it as easy as possible to go home with two bags of Houston Mulch AT NO CHARGE.

And since it's time to put down 15-5-10, Baracade, and Bonide Weed Beater Ultra, it's also the perfect opportunity pick some up.
