The live broadcast originally scheduled for Nelson's Water Gardens this Saturday was cancelled, but you still have a chance to meet me in person.
Instead of a live GardenLine show, I will be visiting Enchanted Forest on FM 2759, about four miles east of U.S. 59's Crabb River Road exit. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., come by for "Herbs, MicroLife and Randy!"
First, Cindy Meredith, owner of the Herb Cottage in Victoria, will be doing herb seminars at 10 a.m. at Enchanted Gardens (6420 FM 359) and at 2 p.m. at Enchanted Forest. You'll learn the basics of growing herbs successfully in both landscapes and containers. Cindy will expose the myths of herb growing and introduce you to the perfect varieties for our climate. She will also guide you through endless uses for these easy-to-grow gardening and culinary treasures.
Second, our good friend Mike Serant with MicroLife fertilizers will be there, giving away lots of his awesome products, including standard 40-pound bags and the new seven-pound jugs.
It's also your chance to talk one-on-one with Mike, a forward-thinking trailblazer in all things organic for the Houston area.
Last, but certainly not least, you can see me! Bring me your questions or let me "get a pair of eyes on that problem."
Enchanted Forest is just an amazing nursery and garden center, where you can stroll around and get great landscaping ideas for this region. It's always been a ton of fun whenever we've visited, and I expect this Saturday to be no exception. In fact, it was at one of the Enchanted nurseries where the idea of the Lemmonhead T-shirt was hatched several years ago. So, of course, we'll have a whole batch of latest edition to give away this Saturday.
