During Operation: War Dogs!, Rover Oaks will donate $5.00 to the USWDA for every large bag of dog food, shed control service, good manners training class, puppy class, and daycare premium bath purchased at their Houston and Katy locations.

"The Bedtime Book for Dogs"
By Bruce Littlefield
Bestselling author and lifestyle guru Bruce Littlefield introduces THE BEDTIME BOOK FOR DOGS (Grand Central Publishing Hardcover; $15.99), a charming tale about a dog who decides that he’d rather walk to the park by himself than wait for his human companion – and discovers that all of his usual activities aren’t as much fun without a good friend along.
Headless Horsemen: A Tale of Chemical Colts, Subprime Sales Agents, and the Last Kentucky Derby on Steroids
by Jim Squires.
The former editor of the Chicago Tribune and a horse breeder of five graded stakes winners (including Monarchos, winner of the 2001 Kentucky Derby) guides us through the carefully guarded world of horseracing and reveals how a clannish group of industry insiders has presided over a subprime-like bubble to rival any Wall Street has ever produced.
First Dog (Hardcover)
By: J. Patrick Lewis (Author) and Tim Bowers (Illustrator)
Father and daughter J. Patrick Lewis and Beth Zappitello team up to create a picture book ode to Sasha and Malia Obama's eagerly anticipated "first" puppy. In search of a home, Dog travels everywhere, trying to find the perfect place. Seeking answers in Newfoundland, England, and beyond, Dog discovers that home might very well be right in the middle of Washington, D.C. With illustrations.
Last year America's 44.8 million dog owners spent a staggering $11.1 billion on veterinary services (and another $3 billion on prescriptions) trying to keep their beloved "Fidos" healthy and happy. Not knowing which symptoms or ailments can be monitored and treated at home and which ones mean a trip to the vet is essential as dog owners struggle to give their canine companions the best care possible.
With THE COMPLETE HEALTHY DOG HANDBOOK (Workman Publishing, $18.95), by Betsy Brevitz, D.V.M., your personal vet is always in. Elle Magazine calls it "Dr. Spock for Dogs."
