KOREAN AIR HITS THE GAS

KOREAN AIR HITS THE GAS

The news that major world carrier Korean Air will launch non-stop service between Seoul and Houston is no surprise. The real question might be what took Asia’s largest carrier in the U.S. so long.

While Continental Airlines had a firm hold on direct international flights, the merger with United has changed routes, and the SkyTeam alliance of Korean Air, KLM and Air France (among them) has been quick to jet in.

The new service begins in May and will bring even more travelers to the Houston Airport System which served more than 50 million passengers last year.  It’s our bursting economy and bubbling energy business that’s drawing the traffic.

And Houstonians, you’ll really like the airport in Seoul as you make connections across the globe, as I did enroute to Myanmar last fall.
