As America's political divide appears to grow more and more, it's easy to think red and blue states might start seceding, or even going to war with each other. But when you zoom out, you see that there's still room for optimism.

The American Thinker's Andrea Widburg says that every day Americans are beginning to notice how radical the far left is. She says, "People are pulling back from that. Or at least I hope they are, and that will return a little normalcy to American politics."

Widburg says ordinary Americans really agree quite a bit more than those who live in the political class. For example, she points to the broad support for the deportation of illegal aliens and the widely recognized need to control the southern border.

She says what conservatives really need to do is breach the mainstream media narrative and show every day Americans how truly radical the far left is. From there, we can begin to bridge the political divide.
