The National Weather Service confirms damage caused Sunday night in Trinity County was caused by a tornado.
The preliminary findings are that a EF1 tornado touched down shortly after 8PM Sunday night.
The storm left two people injured, The Conroe Police Department identified the two injured as Lt. James ‘Jimmy’ Waller and his wife. The department said Waller is a respected 22-year veteran of the department. They said Waller received critical injuries and remains in the hospital for treatment.
“His recovery will be lengthy and require multiple surgeries. Lieutenant Waller’s wife was also injured and has received treatment and remains by his side,” the department said.
