The Houston Police Department has reviewed all of the more than four-thousand adult sexual assault cases that were suspended because of lack of personnel.
Chief Troy Finner announced the completion of the review on Thursday.
Finner says more than 3,400 cases were cleared, suspended, or inactivated, mainly for lack of additional leads.
The rest are still under investigation.
Finner says the HPD is still reviewing 264,000 other incident reports that were suspended.
