The hush money trial of former President Donald Trump is in its second day with Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg now asking to put Trump in jail for violating a gag order in the case.

Bragg filed a motion to hold former President Trump in contempt of court, claiming he violated the gag order imposed upon him by publishing three social media posts relating to two known witnesses in his criminal trial — Michael Cohen and Stormy Daniels.

He is also urging Manhattan Judge Juan Merchan to also warn Trump that "future violations" of the gag order can be punished "not only with additional fines, but also with a term of incarceration of up to thirty days."

Merchan last month imposed a gag order on Trump, due to his "prior extrajudicial statements." Merchan said they established "a sufficient risk to the administration of justice."

Meantime, six jurors selected to serve on the panel in the trial were officially sworn in.

The six jurors were told to next appear in court on Monday, April 22nd. Merchan also delivered instructions to the jurors to not discuss the case, or conduct any research on the case.

The six stood up and all raised their right hands while being sworn in.

Yesterday, Merchan caused quite a stir when he refused to guarantee Trump would be allowed to attend his youngest son's graduation. Merchan says Trump will not be excused from the trial in order to participate in the event, meaning the trial will have to be completed before the graduation ceremony for Trump to participate. Merchan also refused to excuse Trump next Thursday to attend arguments in the Supreme Court on his immunity case.
