Spirit Of Radio! Politicians Close To Votes Needed To Keep AM Radio In Cars

Despite all of the static in the Washington D.C. swamp, politicians are reportedly 'close' to having the votes needed to keep AM radio in every single car.

"AM radio in particular is an oasis of talk radio" said Texas Senator Ted Cruz, "We have seen conservative talk radio stalwarts rise up, from Rush Limbaugh, to Sean Hannity and Mark Levin."

Senator Ted Cruz co-authored the bill, S. 1669, along with radical Democrat Ed Markey. According to the latest report last week, the bill now has enough support to pass in the House.

"Ed may be the most liberal Senator in the entire U.S. Senate, I'm the most conservative Senator" Cruz said, "But we joined together on a bill to require that car companies continue to provide AM radio in the new cars their selling."

Unfortunately, 8 automakers are not providing AM radio in their EV's. A move that many believe is really to try and silence conservative talk radio.

"Frankly, I think that's one of the reasons why the carmakers were eager to pull AM radio out of their cars" Cruz told FOX News, "I think part of this is an effort to silence voices with which they disagree."

The bill is right now just a few votes short in the Senate. There has been strong support of the bill in the public, especially in the farming community.
