Local Law Enforcers Getting it From All Sides This Weekend!

Over the weekend two local Law Enforcement Officers were injured while pursuing criminals.

Harris County Deputy Constable was assaulted Saturday (7-8-2023) at Hurricane Harbor Splashtown in Spring. The office of Harris Co. Pct 4 Constable Mark Herman saying the deputy was at the area to arrest a man (with a previous criminal history) who was carrying a firearm on the park. The man shot the deputy who was taken to a hospital, treated and released. The attacker was also shot and was first taken to the hospital and then escorted to jail.

A Houston police officer was aiding other agencies in a chase overnight in east Houston. The patrol vehicle she was driving had lights and sirens activated. Not related to the chase, a Ford pickup truck (with a driver who possibly showed signs of intoxication) entered an the intersection and crashed into the patrol vehicle! The officer suffered a shoulder injury and is expected to be ok.
