Party Weekend In Washington: The Latest On The Runaway Texas Democrats

The Texas Democrats first weekend in Washington, turned into a super spreader event.

After not wearing masks on their private charter, which is against the law, 5 of the Texas Democrats tested positive for Covid, even though they were fully vaccinated.

State Representative Briscoe Cain call the announcement "a gimmick," while Lt. Governor Dan Patrick referred to the group as "the liars club."

With the 51 plus Texas Democrats in Washington, Senator Lindsey Graham told FOX, maybe the walkout strategy isn't such a bad idea after all? "Before Republicans beat up on the Democrats in Texas for leaving Texas too much" Graham said, "If for some reason Congress passes reconciliation to bring the $3.5 trillion dollar infrastructure bill to the floor of the United States Senate, because you have to have a quorum to pass a bill in the Senate, I would leave before I would let that happen."

Graham also got in a dig at the Vice President, "Hey Vice President Harris, if you think these people are heroes? Well then I expect you to show up and pat us on the back."

The V.P. by the way just so happened to have a doctors appointment scheduled for -Saturday-, and she tested negative for Covid.

The other big development from the weekend, we now know the Texas Democrats vacation is going to cost around $1.5 million.

The 51 plus Democrats are scheduled to be a part of a televised town hall meeting on MSNBC tonight.
